LITTLE AUTUMN FAVORITES

LITTLE AUTUMN FAVORITES

The best thing about fall used to be spiked hot apple cider, baking the first apple pie of the season, breaking in the fireplace, and the first day I really needed that sweater BUT NOW it’s also about miniature cozy clothes for Isla. I admittedly invest a bit more in her clothing, but I also buy exponentially less. I look for about 10 pieces each season that I can mix and match for those times when we leave the house and pretend like she and I don’t live in ripped jeans and white onesies; she of course wears the ripped jeans. Handy tip, I buy things a bit bigger so they fit longer – she’s at the age when rolled sleeves and pant legs look cute. I am not.

Above are a few favorite things. How cuuuuuuute is that artist’s smock?! Amae Co. also makes these super cute artist coveralls. And it’s fair to say that I have a love affair with everything Goat Milk and Noble Carriage, those striped tights are SO cute and perfect to pair with these chambray bloomers. Tights, tees and bloomers all winter long. We are not fussy people over here. I just bought Isla the sweetest pair of handmade leather t-bar shoes for under $50. If they’re as well made as people say, I’ll let you know. ‘Cause $45 handmade leather shoes for kids under two with soles doesn’t happen every day, am I right.

A minimal and neutral wardrobe for a toddler can be a bit tricky but you nailed it! I’ll be waiting for your winter picks for little Isla! Struggling to find my girl a decent jacket that is not hot pink or covered in crazy prints!

You’re telling me! Walking the kid aisle in Target makes my eyes hurt 😉 Every now and then they have simple stuff, I bought Isla a few pairs of plain leggings ($5) in good colors like black, army green, and a pretty muted blue/grey. Check Zara for a coat!
