If you’re looking for an excellent way to loose a day and half of your life, may I suggest making chocolate croissants. Holy time sucker! I declared a snow day yesterday, they sounded good (because when you’re in the mood for buttery flakey chocolate goodness, you can’t just pop a mini snickers in your mouth and call it good), and I was anxious to put our new kitchen to good use for the first time since we moved. I have a severe kink in my neck from rolling the dough SIX times, but I couldn’t have asked for a more picturesque reward. Saturday morning, snow falling, coffee brewing and good conversation with my husband over fresh, out-of-the-oven chocolate croissants. And since I found little need to have four billion chocolate croissants in the house, I left some plain for breakfast egg sandwiches tomorrow. I’m indulging this weekend because I will NEVER EVER make these again.
