- WOKE UP + DECIDED TO PUT PAINT TO CANVAS -
What do you think? I wanted a really large piece of art to go above the new couch. I searched forever, and while there is so much amazing artwork out there, for the size I wanted on a canvas, upwards of $300 - $400 isn't in the budget. So I did it myself! I chose colors that would work well with the pale mint green wall color. By no means amazing, but it will do!

i hear you! i've been searching for above our couch too, need something big big big, and i can't spend much on it. so i've been wanting to create something myself but am so critical of myself! i LOVE this though, and it's similar to what i was thinking would work best -- swatchiness. great job and thanks for the inspiration!
Shut up! I inspired YOU?! Thanks for the compliment :)
I like it a lot! I see influence from a few pieces you pinned to pinterest (which also inspired me as well!) I feel like its so amazing and incredibly personal to make your own art pieces for your home!
I think it's fantastic! You did such a great job. I'm contemplating doing the same thing, painting my own...but not sure if I will end up making a mess or something that I'd be willing to hang on our walls. We'll see!
Thank you, Julie! It's no masterpiece, but you should try it. It actually wasn't messy at all. I used the water-based "beginner" acrylic paint. The oil based gives it texture, that's next on the list to try! Give it a try! :)
Where is the console table from? It's beautiful!
