- art market + cupcakes + yard work -
All in all, it was a pretty good weekend. Beautiful day for the art market Saturday. Picked up some vintage prints, strolled around LoHi, had lunch, dove happily into Happy Cakes cupcakes and celebrated the Mexican in all of us (?) at our house with some friends and some very potent homemade margaritas. Sunday was all about landscaping (our teeny tiny) yard. I actually like the manual labor part about yard work. What I do not like is that EVERY time we start big projects in the yard it immediately turns from sunny and calm to rainy and dreary with a hint of lighting and wind. No biggie. I always wanted to go out by way of being struck by lighting while carrying sod. We managed to get everything potted, planted and prepped for the 2 ton delivery of rock Thursday. Lord help me. That is a lot of rock. When I said before that I like the manual labor part of yard work, I meant I like putting on my cute garden gloves, getting my orange trowel and potting pretty plants, moving the patio chair so I can admire said plants while sipping white wine. Don't pretend like that's not your favorite part, too.
